The Make-Your-Own Pōtiki Poi pack allows you to create your very own taura that fits perfectly to your forearm, bling up your hukahuka as thick or thin as you like and design an upoko that makes the right sound for you! Once you have made your very own Aotearoa Original poi, get practicing for kapahaka, or with friends and whānau and show the world how awesome Pōtiki Poi are.
This Make-Your-Own Pōtiki Poi pack includes:
- 2 x long lengths of yarn to make the 25cm length taura
- 2 x bundles of yarn for the hukahuka
- 2 x 25grams of dacron
- 2 x Material squares to make the upoko
- 4 x Rubber Bands
- Easy to follow instructions with images
- A list of simple moves to get you started
Extra materials needed to make a pair of Pōtiki Poi:
- Scissors
- Tape (optional)
Suitable for: 5+ years (some adult support maybe required). For girls, boys, teens and adults everyone loves to make Aotearoa Original poi. It typically takes 15minutes to make a pair of Pōtiki Poi.
